Pleats came in hot this season. One of the chicest items to mix and match that you can wear year-round. I wanted to wear a pleated skirt before; however, the first two I bought didn't fit me as I expected because of my small waist and big hips.

While I was doing some retail therapy, for some inspirations, I found this piece from Zara. This skirt is versatile and easy-to-wear; also, the color is one of the top 12 Color trends from the Spring/Summer 2020 Runways. A long time ago, when I wasn't even thinking of becoming a fashionista, I remember my mom went shopping with my dad, and she came home with a beautiful gray pleated skirt. Many years have passed since them, and this style is back on trend again.

We are experiencing the coldest season in the Northeast of the United States, even though it seems like winter has gone into hibernation. Because of that, I paired the skirt with the faux fur black coat. This coat keeps me warm when temperatures are freezing outside. And to look fashionable, I tied the silver belt around the sweater waistline, combined with the captain hat and the black and white crossbody bag. Initially, footwear appears to be the biggest challenge when styling a pleated skirt outfit, don't be afraid to mix and match trends. I wore an over the knee boots, but it could be combined with high heels or wedge sandals even sneakers will create a casual and relaxed outfit. I believe we can wear these bottoms in many ways and for many different occasions.

Once you find your favorite knife-pleated skirt that best fits your shape, you can start to think of cool combos that can make you look fashion-forward and individual.
