I think fashion lovers have been waiting for another fashionable show since Carrie Bradshaw. The SATC duet Darren Star (creator) and Patricia Field, the legendary costume designer, returns in this Netflix production:

Despite the hostile critics, I was not at all disappointed with the fashion or the script. I particularly loved the fashionista Emily's outfits, Sylvie's chic Parisienne style, and the cool Camille. What about Emily's two coworkers at Savoir, Luc, and Julien? I had a blast every time these characters were in action. Another funny character is Pierre Cadault. Would that be a satire of Pierre Cardin's fashion designer? I remember my mom adjusting my father's Pierre Cardin pants when I was a kid, even before I heard from Dior, it's definitely "old fashioned." The entire cast is made up of caricatures rather than characters. Hostile critics question how someone not fluent in French expects everyone in Paris to speak English. Well, who does not have an acquaintance who relocated to another country without fluency in the language? The critics also mentioned that the French people were not very satisfied. Was it because of the arrogance and exaggerated sex appeal in the scenes? Well, if the Frenchies are experts in gastronomy, I confess that more than ever, I intend to go to Paris as soon as the pandemic is over. And how does a girl in her twenties have a wardrobe cluttered with haute couture pieces, lots of Chanel bags, and space to store so many coats living in a studio? Her hair is always impeccable. Not to mention how quickly she gained followers on Instagram. The last one is a joke! Carrie Bradshaw's closet worth more than the 900 dollars she had on her savings account before becoming a successful writer. Has Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) replaced Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker)? Keep in mind that both series are fiction!

I would love to reproduce some outfits from the series. By far, the checked shorts suit set with the beret is my favorite. Could the beret be more French than that? Having half of my closet compost for black and white pieces, reproducing this outfit won't be an issue.

Love the color combination, the Chanel green tweed coat with the green bucket bag.

Emily and her friend Mindy in a Parisian cafe. The off-shoulder white top with the tulle scarf paired with the denim skirt and white pumps is a must!

According to Patricia Field some of the clothing is literally just Zara, ASOS, and H&M.

Don't you just love Mindy's printed golden suit with the yellow beret? Lovely!

Camille is the coolest French girl in the series. She rocks with a lovely black Nappa leather beret. Couldn't the style be more French? The most affordable and popular items in the series.

Sylvie’s minimal outfits serve to highlight the cultural differences between her and Emily. It's worth paying attention to. She is effortlessly sexy, glamorous, and sophisticated.

Sylvie wears Rick Owens, Roland Mouret and Yohji Yamamoto

Sylvie's black belted pencil skirt, white large cotton shirt, and high heels. Very classic and chic.

Another fashion decorative accessory I recall seeing at least twice is a brooch. Sylvie wore the attachment with the little black dress. Timeless and chic.

Midi red designer dress and belt. The jewelry accessorizing is typically french.

Patricia said she couldn't resist copying Audrey Hepburn as Lily strongly looks like Audrey.

I hope we'll be seeing more of Emily in Paris on season 2 as she tries to balance her brand new life in Paris with the low triangle between her Gabriel and Camille among the craziness of Savior.
